We, as engineering students of Bogaziçi
University , Istanbul TURKEY, who comfront with similar situations
at school invite you to meet our lovely city Istanbul, discuss academic
projects and have fun as well.
We, as the members of Engineering
Society ( ENSO, a distinguished organization of Bogaziçi University),
try to bring engineering students from all over the world. Every
year we make new friends and in 2008, we want to see you among us.
It is easy to participate in ICAMES. Because, there is no limitation
on topic!! Any engineering topic may be acceptable. In other words,
it doesn't matter if you are a student from electrical, chemical,
computer, manufacturing, civil or mechanical engineering disciplines.
The must is to have a project which is acceptable according to the
criteria stated in the "Project Description".
If you are interested in an engineering project or you have to
submit a thesis , find one or two friends, arrange your advisor
(any academician acquinted with your project), prepare your project
presentations and apply with the project proposal by sending us
your abstract.
If your project is accepted by the Advisory Committee of ICAMES'
2008, the only thing you have to do is to buy your tickets because
all of the other expenses of this incredible week will be provided
by ENGINEERING SOCIETY.

ICAMES 2008 Organization Committee...
There is no attendance fee.
Free meals and accommodation will be provided for all participants.
All the participants will be given certificates at the end of the
meeting.
Awards will be given to the first three projects.
The Fourteenth International Cultural and Academic Meeting of Engineering
Students organized by the undergraduate students of ENGINEERING
SOCIETY (ENSO) of Bogazici University, will be held in Istanbul,
Turkey between 10-17 May 2008. The meeting aims to provide a social
and academic forum for undergraduate engineering students from different
countries and universities to support disseminating culture and
knowledge.
Project Description
Teams of undergraduate engineering students are invited to submit
a project. Projects should be at an advanced stage, if not completed
at the time of presentation. The projects would be selected based
on the following criteria:
· Technical Content
· Analytical Tools
· Solutions Provided
· Computer Usage
· Originality
· Sustainability
· Environmental Impact
· Cost
· Others...
How to Participate?
Teams should consist of an advisor (a faculty member), one team
leader and at most two team members. Presentations will be in English.
Please complete and submit the application form for each team.
Main Events
· Project Presentations where attending teams will present their
projects which will be evaluated by all participating team advisors
and the advisory committee.
· A technical competition.
· Presentations, shows and exhibitions where the students will make
presentations about their countries with slide shows, performance,
documentation, etc.
· Excursions & fun. Old city and Bosphorus tour, parties, surprizes.
